FAA Minimums
17 years old
At least a 3rd class medical
40 hours of Total Flight Time consisting of:
20 hours of training with an instructor
10 hours solo flight
5 hours solo cross-country
3 hours night flight
3 hours instrument instruction
Knowledge (Written) Test
Oral & Flight evaluation by Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE)
Course Length depends on YOU. Average time ~ 4-6 months
Instrument Rating (IR) details
FAA Minimums
At least a 3rd class medical
No minimum Total Flight Hours
Must have at least:
15 hours of training with Instructor
50 hours Cross-Country PIC
40 hours Instrument training

100 hours of PIC time
